Toolbelt Local ("we", "I") runs toolbeltlocal.com. We serve local businesses in the United States, and this site is meant for U.S. visitors. This page explains what information we collect, why, and the choices you have.
What the free review form collects
When you request a free review, we collect your name, business name, city, email address, your Google Business Profile link or business address, and (if you choose) your industry. We also record the campaign tags in the link you came from (utm_source, utm_medium, utm_campaign), your approximate country as reported by our host, and your browser type. We use this only to prepare and send your review and to reply to you. We don't sell your information.
Where it's stored and for how long
Form submissions are stored in a database on Cloudflare D1 (run by Cloudflare, Inc.) and kept for about 12 months, then deleted, unless we're actively working together. To delete your information sooner, email us.
Form submissions are delivered to us by email through Resend, an email delivery service. Resend handles the message only to deliver it. If you email us directly, we keep that conversation in our mailbox.
If you message or call us on WhatsApp, that chat is handled by WhatsApp (Meta) under its own privacy policy. We only use what you send us there to reply to you.
Analytics, cookies and session recordings
We may use Google Analytics 4 (Google LLC) to understand how many people visit, which pages and links they use, and which campaigns brought them here. Google Analytics uses cookies. We may also use Microsoft Clarity (Microsoft Corporation), which uses cookies and records sessions (clicks, scrolling and mouse movement) so we can see where the site is confusing. Clarity masks form inputs and other sensitive text by default. Neither tool is used to identify you personally, and we don't use them for advertising.
How to opt out
- Turn off analytics for this site in this browser:
- We honor the Global Privacy Control (GPC) signal. If your browser sends it, analytics stays off.
- Google offers a Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on.
- You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings at any time.
Children
This site is for business owners and is not directed at children under 13.
Changes
If we change this policy, we'll update the date at the top of this page.
